SafeWalk is a student-run organization dedicated to providing people on campus with a safe and reliable escort after dark. They walk seven nights a week from 7:30 pm - 2:30 am through rain, shine, and even those ghastly Canadian Winter blizzards. This service is provided completely free of charge. To arrange a walk, call ext. 53200, or use the free SafeWalk button on any Bell pay phone, or use the emergency blue poles located around campus, or approach a pair of walkers (recognizable by their yellow jackets). This program is made possible by the dedicated volunteers who walk and work the dispatch every night. New team members are always welcome, and SafeWalk provides the training.
